How this is scored

Weighted mean of the sub-scores, weights re-normalized over whatever is computable (nobody's fixed it 25 · how far above typical 20 · how angry 15 · people in the market 15 · room to enter 15 · willingness to pay 10). Fixed anchors map each count to 0–100: breadth and willingness-to-pay are straight shares; the gap’s heat tops out at 4times the store’s typical rate; anger scores star3 as 0 and star1.5 as 100; reach runs 104 to 107ratings on a log scale; room to enter is one minus the leader’s share of shelf ratings. A factor that cannot be counted is dropped and named — never imputed. The site’s one composite (#115, owner decision 2026-08-15); cited industry benchmarks are never blended in.

Not the best! — The outdoor temperature seems never to work, so it causes problems for me and my husband, since he wants it to work. Something great to fight over a stupid clock that doesn’t work right!La Crosse View · 1star · Aug 8, 2026

Absolutely awful product. — Absolutely awful product- difficult to set up, tech support is poor.La Crosse View · 1star · Aug 22, 2026
Unnecessarily complicated — This feels more like an android app than an iOS app. You can tell things have been translated roughly from Chinese to English without much care - lots of prompts don’t make sense and labels for commands. Do not make sense either. They say you can leave a voicemail on their telephone number and they’ll support and call you back for questions but they text you and tell yoElitech iCold · 1star · Aug 20, 2026
Limited iPad Functionality — Although this App says it has iPad compatibility, it is not fully supported. There is no access to the graphing function nor to past data. You can only view real time temperatures.Elitech iCold · 2star · Aug 16, 2026

Won’t connect to WiFi — All I did was change our WiFi password. I followed directions to reconnect same as originally connected. Error message is it can’t connect to their server. Tried 4 times. Going to Amazon to buy something easy to setup and that works.La Crosse View · 1star · Jul 28, 2026

Waste of time trying — Can’t get the app to connect the device even with the phone connected to a dedicated 2.4g network. What a waste of time and money.La Crosse View · 1star · Jun 9, 2026
What happened!? — This app was solid. Now the company just wants you to subscribe to their services. Plus once you do subscribe (as I did for the year) you’re still limited on only 2 people to share with! For my experience despite it only showing one email, I still can’t share my stations I own multiple locations and multiple stations. Why are you limiting me from sharing my own data!????? How this is counted

Every number is arithmetic over the reviews we hold, re-counted weekly — nothing modelled, nothing scored. Themes come from a frozen pattern classifier rather than a model reading reviews, so the same review always lands in the same bucket. A shelf rate is pooled across every app here; the store rate is the same count across 12,122 apps. A complaint is only called a gap when at least half the shelf carries it and at least 20 reviews are behind it — a problem concentrated in one app is that app’s bug.
