How this is scored

Weighted mean of the sub-scores, weights re-normalized over whatever is computable (nobody's fixed it 25 · how far above typical 20 · how angry 15 · people in the market 15 · room to enter 15 · willingness to pay 10). Fixed anchors map each count to 0–100: breadth and willingness-to-pay are straight shares; the gap’s heat tops out at 4times the store’s typical rate; anger scores star3 as 0 and star1.5 as 100; reach runs 104 to 107ratings on a log scale; room to enter is one minus the leader’s share of shelf ratings. A factor that cannot be counted is dropped and named — never imputed. The site’s one composite (#115, owner decision 2026-08-15); cited industry benchmarks are never blended in.

Apple Watch Bugged Forever — The app is pretty good overall for tracking fitness progress. I only use the free version because it has not proved itself to be consistent nor reliable when it comes to my Apple Watch syncing with my phone. Every time I use my watch to progress the current exercise or change the weight or reps, it jumps to the next exercise. That, in turn, forces me to take my phone oHevy - Workout Tracker Gym Log · 3star · Aug 21, 2026
Great App - Easy sync with Apple Watch - wish it had better activity tracking — While the app itself is great with various support for activities and ease of use especially when using along with your Apple Watch, what it’s missing is better way to track your activities in terms of history. E.g. if I were to track improvements with all my 5K runs, the app don’t show past runs together for me trackApple Fitness · 3star · Aug 16, 2026
Glitches — It keeps miscounting my steps and pausing counting. I walked 36,000 steps and my other walking apps were counting properly. Then suddenly it glitches. It went back to 18,000 and I lost my progress in the other apps due to them getting their information through this app. :/ it continues to glitch it’s not the first time it’s happened. I hope this gets fixedApple Fitness · 1star · Aug 1, 2026

It’s frustrating — I purchased the year-long subscription and have used Jefit for about 3 months. It provides a very loose exercise framework that keeps me going to the gym, but the AI coach is strange — it repeats the same exercises that target specific areas but completely ignores others. For me, it’s arms: It barely adds any arm work and I have to add them in myself. Big oversight by jefit. TheJEFIT Workout Plan Gym Tracker · 3star · Aug 14, 2026
Original was Better — Loved the app but it recently updated and the interface isn’t as user friendly as the original. Same functions just in different less convenient places.Strong Workout Tracker Gym Log · 3star · Aug 1, 2026
Limited routines free version — Though I’ve seen that Hevy offers unlimited routines for free version users, they limit to 5. Nice app, clean interface but won’t be using.Hevy - Workout Tracker Gym Log · 2star · Jul 31, 2026

Limited rep set to 150reps. — No longer recommend this app. Used to be good until they decided to limit your workouts to make more money. Dumping this app as of today.Hevy - Workout Tracker Gym Log · 1star · Aug 15, 2026
Wasted my time — Spent an hour putting in workout routines for 4 days and when I went to create the 5th routine for day 5 I get the paywall message that a 5th day is only available with pro. Waste of time.Hevy - Workout Tracker Gym Log · 1star · Aug 14, 2026
There's no free option — You go through all of the normal setup questions, create a login, then can't do anything unless you agree to a subscription with a free trial. I would've been content with limited exercises/examples or ads in the app, but you don't even get to experience the app before your money is demanded.Fitbod: Gym & Fitness Planner · 1star · Aug 12, 2026

Free but no — I have seen ads everywhere saying it a free app. Think it was going to be easy. Honestly just need a supscription to the gym around you. They want you to pay for a “free questionnaire” after that you need a 7 day subscription and then normal price to keep it Thank you but HELL NO!!!!JustFit: Lazy Workout & Fit · 1star · Aug 16, 2026

Challenges no longer work — My bestie and I were using the challenges feature weekly to keep us motivated. It has suddenly stopped working - she never gets my invite, our last challenge we were able to complete doesn’t show the same data between hers and mine, and we can no longer compete due to an error. Terrible for Apple — First of all, it is Extremely slow for actual steps to be counted. Sometimes up to an hour. When many others are instantaneous. Second and biggest let down, I had a move streak of 854 days. Went for a run a little late and forgot my phone. (Don’t have the Apple watch) The next day I noticed I was 20 away from my goal. So needless to say my move streak was ended and no way toApple Fitness · 1star · Aug 13, 2026

How this is counted

Every number is arithmetic over the reviews we hold, re-counted weekly — nothing modelled, nothing scored. Themes come from a frozen pattern classifier rather than a model reading reviews, so the same review always lands in the same bucket. A shelf rate is pooled across every app here; the store rate is the same count across 12,122 apps. A complaint is only called a gap when at least half the shelf carries it and at least 20 reviews are behind it — a problem concentrated in one app is that app’s bug.
