    What happened? — This used to be a reliable app that simply did exactly what it was built to do: read QR codes and bring you to the web page they pointed to. It did that exceedingly well. Sometime in the recent past it transformed into something so bloated by extra functions and infected by useless AI, pop ups for subscriptions, and excessive animations that it has become functionally and fundamen
